We are heading through Ma Pi Leng canyon to Dong Van. A distance of about 120 km today.

Breakfast and dinner are at local spots and with your home stays. Your lunch is served in the quiet Tay village, tucked deep in the mountains.

The mountains are a sight to behold; you'll explore a local cave system that provides naturally filtered water to nearby communities.

In the morning we'll be riding through vibrant Red Dao and Nung villages - plenty of stops for photos and cultural insight along the way. In the afternoon, we head into the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass - dramatic, breathtaking, and every bit worth the hype.

Back in the direction of Ha Giang via Yen Minh, travelling a total distance of 140km today.

We eat breakfast at the homestay and lunch is in Quan Ba, at one of the oldest operating restaurants in the province, serving up timeless local flavours. Dinner is included for guests on the 4-day tour - a BBQ feast and drinks outside by the pool.

We ride southwest through striking karst landscapes near the border, where ancient rock formations and fossils tell stories from the Jurassic era. And yes - there may be a cheeky step across the frontier (shh, don't tell anyone).

The afternoon is smooth sailing on newly paved roads - an easier ride to finish the long journey, with plenty of photo opportunities and coffee stops.

Another night at the Flipside Villa is included for those taking the 4-day tour only. For those who booked the 3-day tour, this is the end, and where you can freshen up before departure or book another night's accommodation.
